Ministry of Tourism Licensed Tourist Guide


Travex Institute of Tourism has been given the approval by the Ministry of Toursim to conduct the licensed Tourist Guide course in 1994. The first Tourist Guide course was held on 21 March 1994. Travex has the longest history in Tourist Guide training for the Ministry of Tourism in Malaysia. Licensed Tourist Guide


Introduction


A tourist guide is one who leads a group of tourists within the country for the purpose of sightseeing, adventure, and other activities. This profession is exciting and challenging for those who enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures.



Code : NTG Duration : 5 months

Entry Requirements : ( any of the following )


  • SPM/UEC, or its equivalent ( 6 subjects passes, including Bahasa Malysia ).
  • Diploma or Degree ( Approved by MOHE ).
  • IATA-UFTAA Foundation / EBT Diploma, Canada.
  • Or, minimum 5 years working experience in the tourism industry.
